The method of controlling a hybrid vehicle, which includes an engine clutchcontrolling power transmission between an engine and a motor, and a transmission clutchconnecting the motor and an input shaft of a transmission, includes: determining whetherthe engine clutch is in a stuck-breakdown condition, and controlling the engine and thetransmission clutch to maintain speed of the engine above a predetermined target idleRPM according to demand torque of the hybrid vehicle when the engine clutch is in astuck-breakdown condition.
